YORKSHIRE SCULPTURE PARK
For my initial research I visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Whilst I was there I was inspired by the scenic landscapes and picturesque views. I have decided to use my most successful images from the shoot but take a twist on the scenic views and change the way that we view the landscape now. I want to present the images in a more contemporary way by experimenting with camera techniques. I also want to link my images to my theme of play and the concept that life is constantly 'playing'. I have enlarged the most successful landscape images from the shoot and have analysed the highest quality image with the most effective composition out of those taken on the shoot.

In my opinion, this is one of the strongest images from this shoot. This is a landscape image that I took when I visited the sculpture park. When taking this image I paid particular attention to the reflections from the trees onto the lake and looked at the symmetry within the image. I like the way this image has turned out and I think the timing of the image to capture the sun’s rays on the lake and the composition of the whole image, with the relatively even spacing between the water trees and sky, has produced a clear, balanced image.
This image reminds me of a scenic postcard view, because of the way the image is composed and the simplicity of the image. Visiting the sculpture park has inspired me to look at more landscape images and research artists/photographers who look at more abstract ways of shooting and producing images. I will focus on artists/photographers that use a variety of camera techniques, such as slow shutter speeds and stop motions to capture movement within the images. I plan to use such techniques in my own images to link to my theme of 'play’. I plan to capture the essence of busy city life, taking images at various locations and focusing on the movement of people and the way the world is continuously moving around us.
