LIGHT TRAILS
When travelling in the car on the motorway, I decided to capture some of the light trails. As I didn't have a tripod there is some camera shake in the images meaning the trails aren't as flowing across the images and the lines are not straight. These images link to my theme of play through movement and travel by portraying the busy motorway and travel element through the lights and motion on the road.
I believe this is my most successful image from this shoot because of the colours and composition; the way the variety of lights break up the piece and how the outlines of the vehicles can still be seen in the background of the image. I think the movement of light has worked well and the colours contrast with the night time scene and the dark background that the image has produced.
I am going to move on from these techniques in photography and begin to look at perspectives in my project. I am going to begin by looking at documentary photography and portray how different people 'play through life'. I aim to do this by looking at different perspectives, focusing on photographing the world from a child's point of view. I will research photographers and artists that look into this concept to further develop my ideas and different techniques that I could incorporate into my own work.
