BEACH
To develop my project I have broadened my ideas to look at photography that focuses on a child's perspective of life in various surroundings. To do this I took my younger cousin to the beach at Seaton Carew for a day and took notice of what interested him and what he was drawn to. I then tried to take the photographs from his point of view. I focused on making things look bigger than they seem and looking at bright and vibrant colours that a child would be drawn to. From this photo shoot I have edited my most successful images to create a final image.

To the left is one of my most successful images from this shoot.
To capture this image I used a low camera angle looking up at the model of the ice cream. I wanted to portray the model as being bigger than it seemed which would therefore show the model from a child's perpective.
The bright colours would be what a child would be drawn to and the element of something like ice cream would attract any child's attention.

This is a second successful image from this shoot. Here I have captured my subject's hands on the seawall overlooking the beach and sea. I wanted the image to give the impression of the child peering over the wall, intrigued at what is on the other side, but being too small to see over it.
I think the simplicity of this image explains my theme perfectly and produces the effect that I wanted.
This next image is of my subject eating an ice cream.
Ice cream is associated with the beach and when shooting this image I ensured that the ice cream was the main element of the image. It is the only part of the image that is in focus and I made sure that the rest of the image was out of focus as the ice cream is the most important object in the child's perpective at the time when the picture was taken.
Also, the parts of the images around the ice cream are more of a drab colour, I wanted this to show that a child usually only focuses on one thing so the ice cream is a brilliant white distractng your eye away from the background.
I am happy with the outcome of this image.

This final successful image is one which I have taken in the arcades. The bright colourful lights and machines create an environment which is a haven for a small child.
To capture this image I bent down to a child's level and captured my subject playing on a games machine, I only wanted the hand of my subject in and the central part of the image to be in focus.
